Terms of registration
The conference organizer is Meet Central Europe, s.r.o.,
Karpatske namestie 10A, 831 06 Bratislava, Slovakia, VAT ID: SK2121179522 also referred to as MCE.
The following sales period apply for specific ticket types:
- Super Early Bird tickets, you must register by midnight on 18 January 2025 CEST
- Early Bird tickets, you must register by midnight on 31 May 2025 CEST
- Regular tickets, you must register by midnight on 15 September 2025 CEST
- Last Moment tickets, you must register by midnight on 14 October 2025 CEST
Only registration using an online form available at: https://www.meetcentraleurope.com/registration is considered.
Payment must be made by bank transfer within 10 days upon receipt of the order.
Rates and VAT
Please note that prices are net +20% VAT.
The VAT rate changes to 23% as of 01/01/2025.
According to Slovak VAT law additional 20% (23%) needs to be charged on goods and services delivered within Slovakia. If you are VAT registered, please insert your VAT registration number in the field “Tax Number”.
Payment and Invoice
Upon receiving the payment in full, an invoice will be emailed to an address provided during registration.
Any outstanding fees must be paid by Friday, 10 October 2025. In case of doubt, you must be able to demonstrate that payment has been made in order to attend the event.
All bank transfer charges shall be covered by the sender.
Attending free elements of the programme is possible without the purchase of a conference ticket. However non-paying attendees are still required to register.
Cancellation
It is possible to cancel your registration and refunds (less a €30 processing fee) will be made in accordance to the following schedule:
Up to four weeks before the event (Monday, 16 September 2024): 100% refund.
Two weeks before the event (Monday, 30 September 2024): 50% refund
Within two weeks of the event: Refunds are not available. In certain cases, a credit for the following year’s conference may be given.
No refunds or credits will be granted for ‘no-shows’.
Substitution registrations will be accepted.
All requests for cancellation, refunds or to arrange substitutions must be emailed to registrations@meetcentraleurope.com
Health and Safety
MCE will continue to prioritise the safety of its participants, speakers, and crew. We will comply with all local regulations in the host country at the time of the conference and will strive to take extra safety measures to make sure you are safe with us.
In case the conference has to be cancelled for public health reasons to comply with host country regulations you will be able to choose between two options:
- 70% refund of your purchases
- use your purchase to attend the conference next year without having to cover the extra costs arising from the price difference.
Speakers and topics
Please note that while speakers and presentation topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may result in substitutions, changes, or cancellations of the speakers and/or presentation of topics. As such, MCE reserves the right to change or modify the advertised speakers and/or program topics if necessary without any liability to attendees. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the event website and/or event app as soon as possible.
Filming and Photography
MCE reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at the event without the expressed written permission of those included in the photograph/video. MCE may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used, or contracted by MCE, including but not limited to: emails, social media, promotional videos, websites, video content streaming, etc.
Delegates attending any Meet Central Europe s.r.o. events that do not wish to have their images recorded should make their wishes known to the photographer and/or the event organizers by sending written notice to registrations@meetcentraleurope.com in advance of the conference. By participating in this event, you grant MCE full rights to use the images resulting from the photography, video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images.
Etiquette & Conditions of Use
All platforms relating to Meet Central Europe, including its conference App, Facebook, and LinkedIn presence, as well as its physical or virtual conference world, are designed to facilitate positive communications between attendees, organisers, speakers, and sponsors. They are not platforms for sharing negative attacks or comments on fellow MCE participants or other language industry figures.
By accessing any MCE events or platforms, you are automatically deemed to be agreeing to abide by the MCE’s Etiquette and Conditions of Use.
Where an individual has posted material deemed by the MCE Board to go against the spirit of the Etiquette & Conditions of Use, that individual will:

be blocked from using all MCE platforms

have their offending posts removed

have their entry into the physical or virtual event blocked

not be entitled to a refund if registered

not have a right to appeal the MCE Board’s decision.
However, the organisers will:

give offenders access to session recordings after the Meet Central Europe event where they exist, if they registered and paid the fee

but will reserve the right to reject an individual’s registration to attend future editions of Meet Central Europe conferences, whether those are physical, virtual, or hybrid formats, and block their presence on all other platforms controlled by MCE.
