How Resource Management transferred into linguistic quality services specialist
In the rapidly changing localization world Resource Managers constantly struggle with defining their exact role and have to learn how to adapt to new conditions and requirements. With a big database of vendors and overwhelmed by massive recruitment projects, our Resource Management Department came up with a strategy how to effectively grasp knowledge about quality of all active vendors. The transformation process began with small steps outside the usual realm of Resource Management and shifted us to a spooky domain of linguistic quality services. With the help of new technologies that direct our vendor searches based on quality and other criteria and that will form basis of our LQA system, we have managed to expand our expertise to a completely new area. Mingling responsibilities of previously clearly defined roles is becoming a new standard.
Having a working and cost-effective LQA system and understanding how quality is assessed means having a very powerful ally on our side. Thanks to this, our department will gain data on vendors’ performance and quality and can play an active role in discovering and addressing vendor issues even before Production raises any concerns. By stepping out of the shadows Resource Management will become a crucial partner for Sales helping them boost their sales plans and achieve the company’s goals.
